Fr. Paul LeJeune, a Jesuit whose journey to the Huron Mission is considered an additional narrative source of Brian Moore's novel and screenplay, Black Robe. LeJeune's 1634 journey matches the date in which the movie is set, although the vow Laforgue makes to stay at the Huron Mission until death corresponds to Chabanel's vow, made in 1642.
